Just added many many dates to my show page, Philly and NY. Check em out!

Also, the newest Early Ape record, “This Happened” came out this week. Mixed by me and Adam Winokur, Mastered by Khari Mateen. You can download it for free/donate money for it here

Speaking of Khari, his record “Wait For Sunrise” comes out tomorrow, and is the shit. Everyone should check it out. We did an acoustic video performance yesterday, and that will be up soon! Check out the pic from his backyard.

And speaking of videos, I cut drums for a new Nicos Gun song last week, and they already shot and released a video for it. That can be seen here

So far this year is very busy, and does not seem like its gonna slow down. The Elevator Fight record “Post Empire” comes out officially April 17th. I hope to have another record of my own music out this year as well, but we’ll see. I am now playing guitar is 2 bands as well as all the drumming I do. It’s an exciting time.

There area a great many shows now posted on my page here

In other news this is awesome:

As well as my partnership with TRX Cymbals. I will be showing those off in a more elaborate way very soon…

This year will be a great year for my music. It looks like I will be moving not only residences in the very near future, but also will be moving into a separate room to do my recording/mixing in that won’t be in my basement. It will be good to have that line between home and work.

The new Early Ape record is almost done being mastered by the one and only Khari Mateen

DRGN King record out soon, more shows to ensue.

Been playing with Philly band Nicos Gun

Will be playing shows (on guitar!) with Ricky Radio, still surrounded by MCD drums, TRX cymbals, and Vater sticks via this guy

Stay tuned……

here we are. The last 3 weeks are a time warp. Spent a solid two of them in studio 14 hours a day producing the upcoming click clack boom record, and the subsequent 5-7 days recovering and adjusting my perceived focus back to the real world. Fucking hate it.

Regardless, I played a great show with DRGN King tonight at the Blockley, Nico’s Gun headlined and killed it. I wish I was in a dance band. Lancaster for turkey day tomorrow, then back to philly to mix the wonderful Rosabelle Diaz record, play the Fire with Ross Bellenoit on Tuesday, and write songs with Andrew Watt next weekend.

Right now it is 2am on a Wednesday, and I hope I can wake up at 7am to hit the road… Shit. Real rambling going on in one of my rare tumblr posts…. I should be more insightful than this. Oh well. We never know what will define us in the eyes of the generations to come. I pray this is not it for me…

Also, I never remember being excited enough about fake plastic mustaches as a kid to spend 50 cents on one from the nj turnpike.

Halfway done recording the click clack boom. Very satisfying week. There’s a spiral staircase. And a halfpipe. And lots and lots of instruments.

I really think the greatest power over our minds, both the conscious and subconscious, is the way we perceive the world around us. Just looking at ourselves inter-personally, you can delve into the way we perceive others, they way they perceive us, or even get into the reaction we have to our perception of other people perceiving us….

I have had a busy month, and it has me thinking way too deeply for my own good.

Lots of gigs and sessions throughout September and October. Back and forth to NY several times each month, great progress made in all my full time bands, and this is still not enough…

My perception of my future when I was much younger had me living this life I have now, but in a much greater scale. I’m not just talking about the rockstar fantasy all of us had once upon a time. When I was 16 I understood that if I could be busy enough in the music world to actually help incur a reaction from people with my art, I could feel like I was a success. No matter what headway I make in this, I FUCKING WANT MORE. All I want is to live up to the expectations I had of myself ten years ago. I may be close. But then again I could be way frickin’ off. It has to boil down to subscribing to a unit of measurement for such things. That’s why perception will forever rule us all.

Well, screw all that. I’m gonna avoid picking that ruler to stand up to as long as possible. Til then, here’s what I got: New records coming out from DRGNking, Early Ape, and Elevator Fight very very soon. E Fight is relaunching itself in a sense, and I couldn’t be more excited about that. We’ve all come a long way. Shows, shows, shows…. but that’s not surprise right? I have a few projects I’ve been co-producing that are coming to fruition soon. More on that in the future. This month I will be producing a record with a band called The Click Clack Boom from Brooklyn that’s gonna be amazing. It’s the first rock band record I am acting solely as a producer on and I am super excited. And hey, I have a handful of private students who may just make me proud at some point.

I ‘m excited. Excited to be here.
